Another bold move by Iran to test the new Obama administration and how they will handle the game of chicken that Iran is always play with U.S.

“Details of the previously-unreported shoot-down, which occurred last month, are still sketchy. But we do know that American commanders have long accused Tehran of supplying weapons and training to all sorts of Iraqi militant groups. Shi’ite militias fired Iranian rockets at U.S. troops in Iraq, according to the American military; Sunni militias allegedly used Iranian armor-piercing bombs to reduce U.S. vehicles to ribbons.”

Iran is getting their own hands on a fleet of unmanned drones to counter the success the U.S. has been have since their introduction in the Iraqi war zone.

“Since then, Tehran claims to have radically upgraded its unmanned fleet. In 2007, Iran said it built a drone with a range of 420 miles. In February, Iran’s deputy defense minister claimed its latest UAV could now fly as far as 600 miles — a huge improvement over crude drones like the Misrad, if true. Iran often exaggerates what its weapons can do. But, if this drone really can stay in the air for for that long, the Washington Times notes, “it could soar over every U.S. military installation, diplomatic mission or country of interest in the Middle East.” Including those in Iraq.”

Unmanned drones are proving their success in war zone and their use has been ramped up over the last 12 months. A U.S. drone fired successeful at a Taliban camp in northwestern Pakistan, where drones have been increase their rate of missile fire and success target strikes. Watch for increased number of drones being an important part in getting the upper hand on terrorism.

“The number of deaths was unclear, with reports indicating between 14 and 21 people — mostly militants — killed in Thursday’s attack on the suspected Taliban training camp in the Kurram area. The number injured ranged from fewer than 10 to more than 40.” UPI News

“The drone fired two Hellfire missiles on a house where a number of militants were residing. Most of the victims were local tribal, Afghan Taliban and foreign militants,” an official in the town of Sadda told the Inter-Asian News Service.
